Hi. We are the new owners Susurra (previously Sedges II). We know that she was also named High Traverse and Wizard. These are the only names registered on the NOAA site. However, when a certain light hits her bow, we can see the remnants of the name Adios II. We were wondering if anyone had any information about when she was named Adios II. We are living aboard in St. Petersburg Florida and hope to take off for parts unkown in January. Are there any other Liberty 458s near St. Petersburg? We are loving Susurra and hope to meet some fellow Liberty owners.

Aloha, Delphinia is enjoying the Hawaiian Islands presently, beautiful sailing out here. All good things must come to an end, however. I am putting my beautiful Liberty 458 on the market, if any of you fellow Liberty owners know of someone interested in acquiring a wonderful boat, please have them email me for details and photos of Delphinia. Thanks Gary

I was original owner of Hull 19 and sold hull 13 to Bob and Maggie Buss. Speelbound sailed around the world and last I knew was in the Pasadena, MD area. Also sold Hull 22 to Emil and Anna Steinberger. Boat is now nine of Cups. Still have a lot of technical detail and specifications if anybody needs to know anything.

I own a Delta 46, this is the boat(s) that Jo Hoyt refers to as "the Germans boat". She appears to have the exact same hull and basic raised deck mold with minor differences in cockpit, hatch and port configurations. Major difference being she is ketch rigged. Her N.A. is listed as VonRedden, I have been stymied at most every turn to gain more solid knowledge of the Delta history. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Just found the page, what a great job! I own Panacea a 458 hull#2. She is located in SF-with dreams of points south '03. I really enjoyed reading everyones emails. I'm a little surprised to see the few boats available for sail sitting on the market for longer than they should. Don't people know what an awesome boat this is! When I saw mine, I snatched it up sight unseen and was thrilled to get it. Good luck

I look forward to hearing all your stories, so please feel free to email. Darrell DuPee

Hi Everyone - This is Jo Hoyt with a new internet e-mail address. This may change in the next few days when we move the motorhome from the RV site that we've been in since last June up to our new home "site". So if you send a message to this e-mail address & it comes back "undeliverable", then we're in the process of moving -- & the original address will still work:

I tried to set myself up on the Libertyyachts yahoo group...a little confusing but hopefully I did everything right and we will be able to join the group. Look forward to communicating with all the other Liberty owners!

Hi, I'm Mark, and am in the business of selling sailboats. Having worked for about five years with Peter Hoyt in Seattle (1983-1988), and having sold Liberty 458's and 49's new and used over the years, I've enjoyed helping folks realize their cruising and liveaboard dreams with the purchase of a Liberty. I currently (December 2001) have two Liberty 458's listed for sale. Both have much to offer, but in different ways. If you know of anyone looking for such a boat, please let them know about the availability of both "Distant Drummer" and "Peregrine," both located in the Pacific Northwest. I believe links are available for both boats elsewhere on this site. I will do everything possible to provide exceptional service, and a nice boat!

FAIR WINDS, SMOOTH SEAS (and a good mate to sail with!)

It is so wonderful to see this website up and running. It's obvious that a lot of time was spent on it's production. Being the owners of "Bolari" a 458 (Hull #9) at present lying in Seattle, WA, the Liberty Website provided us much pleasure and pride. Thank you so much for putting all of this together. We hope this will be a good way for all Liberty owners to keep in touch. Regards! Terry & Iza Benz "Bolari"
